I am considering getting the Nintendo DSi…?
I currently have the DS Lite but I love the Nintendo DSi from the looks of it in commercials. However, I have a couple concerns about it before I spend my money on it.
First:
Can the DSi connect with the original DS’s while using Pitochat, multiplayer, and sending pictures?
(My friends all have the DS, will I still be able to play with them?)
Second:
I know while using an SD card music can be played. What details are with this? and can you listen aloud along with headphones?
Third:
I know you can download apps/channels, can you arrange these and delete them when you don’t want them anymore?
Lastly:
How close do you need to be wireless connection to go on the internet. How does this work?
ALSO: If you could find online chatting with a Nintendo sales associate and could give me the link, that would be great! ![]()
Thank you so much!
Thank you Nemephosis…great answer…how is the camera?
1. Yes, your DSi can connect with DS Lites.
2. Your music must be in .AAC format, iTunes can convert it easily and is free.
3. You can rearrange them if you want, I have no t figured out a way to delete any of them. I believe you cannot delete the icons the DSi comes with (as that would be just stupid) but you could probably delete your downloaded DSiware games. I haven’t purchased anything from the DSi shop yet though, so I don’t know for certain, but there’s a point that you can make an educated guess about how things work (as opposed to an idiotic unfounded one, as most tend to make on here.)
4. The DSi manual says it recommends 30 feet maximum, but it seems to work at about 65 or possibly more. But obviously the closer you are to the source, the better your signal strength will be, and two bars is the minimum required for a good signal (on a scale of 0 to 3 bars.)
EDIT: Yes, the DSi has pictochat, who told you that? In fact, you can use the standard black ink, or you can use rainbow-coloured ink. Of course it has Pictochat.
Also, you “heard” it sucks? Do not use the answers feature based on what you “heard”, it’s supposed to be used for what you know.
